How to set User Quotas
User Quotas are limits on the amount of storage space a user is allowed on a RAID. Security must be enabled before quotas can be set.

  1. From the main administration page select Storage Management.
  2. User Quota Settings
  3. Click on the RAID link
  4. Select the RAID wher quotas will be established.
    1. If quotas are not currently enabled on the RAID, you will be prompted to do so.
  5. The User Quotas list appears.
  6. Enter the maximum space in MB that the User Account is permitted on the RAID.
    1. If you leave the maximum at 0 there will be NO space allowed.
  7. Click on Save.
  8. The NAS server must calculate current usage levels. This process may take some time. Progress screen will update you on the process.

If Master Security is disabled at any time, the User Quotas are automatically disabled.

The User Quotas option conflicts with the Autodelete Users option. If Autodelete Users have been configured, it will automatically be disabled when User Quotas is configured.
