Virtual CD/DVD Server - DiscZerver
Administration
- To administer the system, open a web browser and http:// to the IP address of the unit. For example if the IP address is 192.168.1.100 then the URL is http://192.168.1.100 .
- When the general access web page open, click on the Administration icon in the top right of the screen.
- Enter the assigned username and password when prompted. The defaults are: admin and admin.
There are links to several different administration sections from this page. Many of these pages are self-explanitory.
Devices
This section is displayed first when entering the Administration pages of the Virtual CD/DVD Server. All physical devices attached to the unit are exhibited here. The device name is a link which can be used to view details about the item. This section is also used to maintain Imaged CDs.
General
The Virtual CD/DVD Server name and administration password can be changed in this section. This area is also used to enable/disable Master Security.
Users
This section is used to manage User Accounts.
Groups
Like the Users section, this section is used to manager User Group Accounts.
Volumes
Imaged CD volumes are managed from this section. Information about the mount ond compression status of a volume is visible. Volume names can be changed, and volume security is set.
CD-R
The Virtual DVD Sever supports CD-R. If there is a CD-R unit attached to your unit, its parameters are set in this section.
Time/Date
The system date and time are modified here.
Image Log
A log of all Imaged CDs created, and the status of any current (in progress) Imaging jobs is listed.
CD-R Log
A log of the outcome of all CD-R jobs.
Event Log
A log of all system events and activities. Thsi is very useful in debugging problems. You may wish to purge the file occassionally, as it can become very large.
Reboot
The unit can be shutdown, rebooted, or reset to factory defaults from this page.
