Virtual CD/DVD Server - DiscZerver
Security
The Virtual CD/DVD Server defaults to an open system: all users have access to all volumes. To restrict access to specfic Users or Groups, Master Security must be enabled. Even if you create User or Group accounts and set security for a volume, the security settings will be ignored if master Security is disabled.
Master Security
- From the main Administration page, select General.
- Use the drop-down list to set the Master Security to Enabled.
- The Virtual CD/DVD Server must be restarted for this change to take effect.
Assign Volume Rights
- From the main Administration page, select Volumes.
- In the column labeled Assign, click on the Users link for the desired volume.
- The list of User and Group accounts appears.
- Place a check in each box for the account that is to be granted the Read right to the volume.
- If multiple volumes will have the same rights assignments, you can use the "Assign rights from volume" drop-down list to copy the rights from one volume to another.
- Click on Save.
