Virtual CD/DVD Server - CDM
Administration
Administration of the Virtual DVD Server is done through a web browser. The URL of the main administration page is http://192.168.1.1/admin. The Administration page uses frames, and has seven sub-pages: CD-ROM List, Server Setting, Share Control, Configuration, Statistics, Maintenance, and Help. Some of these pages are self-explanatory.
CD-ROM List
The CD-ROM List displays a table of all currently Imaged CDs and any physical CD/DVD drive bays. The "virtual" share, with a default name of ROOT, is also shown.
Server Setting
Basic system configuration data, like the unit's name and the administrative access password, can be changed in this page.
Share Control
Volume and the characteristics of the physical DVD drive can be changed in this section. Imaged CDs can be collected into Virtual Shares.
Configuration
Protocols can be enabled or disabled in this section. The IP address and DHCP are also set in this section.
Statistics
The Statistics web page details the following information:
How long the Virtual DVD Server has been running.
The speed (10 Mbps or 100 Mbps) of the network.
A list of users attached to the Virtual DVD Server using the SMB protocol, and how long each user has been attached.
A list of users attached to the Virtual DVD Server using the NCP protocol, and how long each user has been attached.
A list of users attached to the Virtual DVD Server using the NFS protocol, and how long each user has been attached.
System starts, network interface initializing, CD-ROM mounting, CD Imaging, and security related events and warnings are logged.
Maintenance
The Virtual DVD Server can be shutdown, rebooted, or reset to factory defaults in this section. In addition, this section is used as part of the Imaging CDs process and for firmware upgrades.
