Notes on the Nakamichi 5-disc CD Changer

Caution
3-inch CDs, also known as CD Singles, cannot be used with this unit. Do not attempt to load such discs, either with or without an adapter ring.
Do not use any commercially available CD accessories (such as adapter rings for 3-inch CDs, disc stabilizers, disc protectors, cleaning discs, etc.)
To not move or ship the unit before ejecting all discs. If the unit is moved, shipped with discs inserted, the discs may jam and cause damage to the unit.
The changer cannot function when placed on its side. This will cause inserted discs to jam inside and damage the unit.

Inserting CDs
1. Press the disc button with the number of the slot into which you want to insert the disc. The dust cover of the drive will open.
2. Insert the disc, data side (no printing) down, into the slot and push lightly. The disc will be automatically drawn into the unit and the door will close.

Ejecting CDs
1. Press the disc button with the number of the slot from which you want to eject a disc.
2. Remove the disc and then press the disc button once again to close the door.

Troubleshooting
Rotation Speed The changer spins CDs at very high speed (12 to 16x). If there is a defect in the CD-ROM, the disc may make noise as it spins. Reducing the rotation speed can reduce the noise. Press buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously to reduce the rotation speed. Every light will briefly flash to indicate that the speed has changed. To return the speed to its original settings, press buttons 1 and 3 simulanteously.
Reset To reset the changer turn off the computer. Turn off the changer. Press buttons 1 and 5. Keeps buttons depressed as you turn on the changer. Release the buttons after 1 or 2 seconds.
